About Darren Stone

Darren Stone is a composer, songwriter and mixing engineer. His songs for Disney have been translated into over 20 different languages with over 45 million YouTube views, a number one Amazon bestseller for Children's and top 10 in Amazon's Soundtracks Charts. 

As an accomplished musician and songwriter Darren has worked and written for producers Steve Hillier (Dubstar, Producer) and manager Darren Michaelson (Smashing Pumpkins, The Sundays et al). 

In television Darren is well known for his work with the BBC’s primetime ‘Live’ format show’s including Lambing Live, National Treasures Live and the hugely successful Stargazing Live, presented by Professor Brian Cox and Dara O Briain. 

Labels Darren has been published by include EMI, BDi Music, Sony/ATV and regularly is found working for Disney, BBC, Discovery and more.. 

His theme work extends to branding prestigious awards ceremonies including The British Academy Film Awards (Whizz Kid), The Turner Prize (Whizz Kid) and the premier accolade for comedy programs, The British Comedy Awards. 

Further commissions include contemporary music programs such as Talks Music for Sky Arts presented by the legendary Malcolm Gerrie, the Exit music festival (Ch4), The Music That Made Me (Ch4) and many more music commissions for Box Television. 

In addition to composing Darren has successfully merged his talents with sound design work. Being sought after to brand the Disney Channel across Europe and the wider world. This includes sound design and compositional work across the entire Disney network of channels branding both in the US, Europe, the UK and developing territories. 

Other works include: dubbing adverts, including Disney/Pixar’s Planes. Scoring for documentaries, winner of Avid from Creation To Mix.
