Embertone Solo Strings

Posted on 2016-09-28

Tonight I bought the Embertone Solo Strings package. $375 instead of $500 is a pretty good deal. I have been listening to their demos for a few months; whenever I hear them, I feel inspired. I have listened to demos of a few other brands, but they didn’t do it for me. If something really inspires you, it’s hard not to go for it!

  1. I’m a really big fan of the Embertone strings and I used to swear off using any solo string instruments. There are a few good virtual solo strings libraries available, and I own most of them, but in my opinion Embertone’s are the most authentic sounding and versatile.

  2. I own the Friedlander Violin and had the opportunity to try the Blakus Cello. I really love the expression these instruments have and unlike other solo libraries, it’s totally versatile! I’ve been using the Friedlander for world music as well as for classical! Even if the Orchestral Tools First Chairs library sounds amazing for a classical string quartet!

  3. Still downloading them and setting them up, I’ll get back to you in a couple of days.

  4. And so what do you think at this point now that you’ve had a moment to play with them?
