Regarding: Composer Hate and Composer Hate Groups

Posted: Saturday, November 4th, 2017

Film Scoring Academy remains committed to bringing you knowledge, experience, and opportunities, as well as supporting and protecting you, inspiring you, and fostering a community of next generation Composers who have been modeled after the very finest that have come before them, and who are themselves committed to becoming shining examples of our profession, its art and its people.

Film Scoring Academy unequivocally rejects and does not tolerate behavior that belittles others, their music, their endeavors, creativity, or seeks to harm them directly or indirectly, explicitly or implicitly, or is hurtful, malicious, casts false light, bullies or is hateful towards fellow Composers, Songwriters, Educators, and industry professionals and aspiring professionals of any ability, age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or experience. Such behavior is wholly inappropriate and unbecoming of those who endeavor to build and operate careers in the Entertainment Industry, and we consider such behavior to be hateful. Film Scoring Academy holds all its members to a high standard of personal excellence and integrity and expects nothing less of the entire Film Music community.

Anyone who engages in such hateful behavior or is a member of a forum online or offline that does so, will categorically be denied access to and banned permanently from all Film Scoring Academy properties, our sister associations, parent associations, partners, businesses, sponsors, and our associated network of working industry professionals. As always, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time without notice.

Even if you have not joined certain social networking groups on your own accord, you could have been added by a friend who is a member, or the group could have been changed recently and/or switched to being ‚Äúpublic‚ÄĚ from ‚Äúsecret‚ÄĚ without you knowing. We implore you to check all of your social memberships, and to always immediately¬†report any groups¬†and individuals which conduct or foster hating on fellow Composers, Songwriters, Educators, and industry professionals or aspiring professionals.
