Great Course ! Just what I needed .I am originally a guitar player ,performed and recorded with bands. As an instrumentalist I always favored the fun of live performances and studio recordings so in my whole life I refused to look into the side of the Digital Audio /Computer based music production cause I had friends or professionals who took care of that for me ,,so sadly now I have a limited knowledge and understanding of the professional home studio setups,it’s essential workflows, using its hardware and Virtual Instruments to they fullest potential.
The first time I saw the introduction on this Course I was amazed of Leonardo’s professionalism and the realism how his compositions sounded.
From the outline of the Course it seemed that it builds from the ground up to a professional level that is essential to be an effective composer with all the necessary skills and tools that you have to have if you are serious about your craft.
I love the Course so far, Very detailed. Leonardo is very patient and his knowledge of his art and his humanness is present throughout the lessons .I am looking forward to the upcoming lessons to learn and master the excellent scoring tools that we have available for us these days to express our creative ideas and a piece of our selves through the amazing language of Music.
    Highly recommend Course 😀🎶
    Best wishes to you all.
    Zoltan

First Impression: A good startThis review is only of my first impressions of the course, since I am still in the early sections. At first, the slow pace of the videos bothered me, until I realized that I was forced to actually take time to consider what Leandro was saying before jumping into the "meat" of the subject which will come in later course sections. The first sections are an overview and review of some basic AND advanced workstation concepts, revolving around Leandro's personal setup preferences. You may be tempted to skip through the videos if you are an experienced DAW user, but if you do, you may miss some tips or useful concepts that you may not have considered in your own setup. Leandro spends a lot of time in these early sections explaining concepts for all levels of users, so don't get impatient.

Having said that, I do wish the videos included more cut-away close up shots of his screens or illustrative graphics/diagrams when he is pointing out some features of his setup instead of staying on the wide shot of him speaking. He often points to items on his screens that even on full-screen mode, I cannot make out the details of what he is pointing at. Maybe this is intentional since the beginning is more of an overview.

The website itself could use some work, but the designers seem to be working very hard to improve and smooth out the design.

In all I think this course and website will be very useful. They have obviously put a lot of thought into the content, and the website staff are VERY responsive to deal with issues. I have a very positive opinion of this course so far. I will come back and update my review once I have gone through the course.

A complete guide to the world of MockUpsI think every modern composer should take this course. Leandro calmly guides us trough all the steps involving MIDI, library, equipment and how to perform with them. There is no clickbait, he will go trough EVERY instrument in his template and explain how everything works. He will teach you how to create a comprehensive template and how to organize it.

I’d recommend this course to both beginners and experienced composers. To beginners because Leandro’s explanations are clear and easy to understand, and at the same time transmits us security in what we are doing. To the experienced because he will show some advanced tricks that most of us doesn’t use, like using synthesizers to emulate woodwinds in certain passages to achieve REALISM.

The only downside of the course is that, since this is an INTRODUCTORY period, the lessons are being posted every other week. But thats not necessarily bad, because we need time to assimilate the content and apply to our own work.

A must-see courseThis course is fabulous. No matter if you are a beginner or if you are have strong knowledge. The instructor is very experienced, knowledgeable and very calm and didactic to convey the information. If you are just starting in the music technology world, you will be able to learn through a concise, current and complete method to learn music technology used to compose songs through the computer. If you are a professional, you will be able to reflect about your work, reassess your work and polish your skills.

In my particular situation, as I am naïve in this field, I have been learning with strong quality how to build a set up, how to create a template and the importance of having one, general information about equipment (hardware and software) and how to organize everything to produce a good work. I am eager to learn about each kind of template for strings, brass and so on.

Leandro Gardini is a high level composer, very devoted for what he does.

Definitely this course is highly recommended to everyone. It is the cornerstone for your success.

Material is really great and Leo is a superb teacher. Only critique is that the lessons are released "when they feel like it". When I first bought the course, they didn't tell us that its being released in chunks. Now we'll have to wait almost 2 months to get something. 5 star for Leo, 1 Star for everything else.

Already inspired to tweak and improve my scoring workstation!Just started watching the first few videos released from Scoring Tools Masterclass, and I'm really excited about what is to come. It is really, really helpful to watch how other composers approach the very personal and seemingly unlimited ways that every composer can go about setting up their workstations, equipment and computers. Just in the first lesson on Leandro's gear and setup, and making your working environment comfortable and ergonomic for the long hours you will be spending there, I'm inspired to make some changes to my own studio. Excited for seeing more about how Leandro works, and how it's going to improve my own workflow!
